Welp, definitely not how we thought that game would go. Welcome back #mubb, we hit a bit of a snag. We talk about the Wisconsin result and whether it tells us anything about the season as a whole. We also talk about another tough week to come with a top 30 Texas team and a rivalry in Notre Dame on the docket this week. Let's get right and we hope you enjoy!

Tuesday Nov 28, 2023
Tuesday Nov 28, 2023
We're back for another episode this week. This time we're here to talk about the week ahead and it is sponsored by #BodyClock and #BadgerHateWeek. First game of the week is Southern which is a "get right" opponent after a long but fruitful week in Maui. Then looming at the end of the week is a road trip to hated rival (yes they are a rival) Wisconsin. We break down the games and Joe even has another Maui story or two to tell. Enjoy!

It was a solid week, just not an amazing week
Sunday Dec 04, 2022
Sunday Dec 04, 2022
Well #mubb fans, it was good, but it could have been amazing. We're going to work from bad to great so we'll start with the Wisconsin game result. We talk about the OT loss to Wisconsin, how much it hurts, and what it didn't go the way we all hoped. We also talk about some of the individual plays and players and how we may extrapolate for the rest of the season. We then revisit the amazing win against Baylor and how that happened. With the week that was covered, we turn to the week to come which includes a maturity tester of a buy game and a catholic Sunday fight against Notre Dame. We also spend a little time talking about how we see the balance of the season going. It's a wide ranging 2 drink minimum podcast so spend some time with us and enjoy!

Not what you want in a rivalry game, does Shaka have a bounce back?
Monday Dec 06, 2021
Monday Dec 06, 2021
Well, this was the first truly disappointing loss for #mubb in the young Shaka era. Marquette not only loses to noted rival, Wisconsin Badgers, but let's the second half get away from them. We talk about the Wisconsin game, what went wrong and what went not so wrong. We also make a compliment sandwich involving the team before pivoting to the week ahead. We review the KSU game and whether MU can get a win in December before talking about any lane to success for MU against UCLA. Let's hope we go 1-1 this week. Enjoy!

Post Thanksgiving relaxation and #BadgerHateWeek
Monday Nov 29, 2021
Monday Nov 29, 2021
Hope everyone had an excellent Thanksgiving! Scrambled Eggs is back from our turkey naps to talk about #mubb. We briefly touch on the only game this week against Northern Illinios (nothing remarkable happened) and then move on to the meat of the pod, so to speak: Badger Hate Week. We talk about the game, conflicting styles, and what MU needs to do to win the game at the Kohl Center. We spend a little time talking about the month of December and what expectations we can/should have for this team. We close out with a prediction on the game. As always, enjoy!

MU is in a good place enough though some seem to think otherwise

Hey, look at that #mubb has won two in a row and 5 out of the last 6...in the Big East no less, that's good! We first dive into the kooky Xavier game and break down what happened including the Markus injury. Then one of us goes off on a tirade before we discuss the always weird DePaul game. We then talk Big East outlook and the upcoming rematch with Butler on National Marquette Day. Finally we talk about the drama in Madison and the possibility of turning a red peg blue. Enjoy!

What started out as a great week for #mubb just went splat
Monday Nov 18, 2019
Monday Nov 18, 2019
We're glad you're here, cause we really need to talk this out. #mubb got a great win against Purdue, in come from behind fashion, which was great. However, they then went on the road against a hated rival and not only lost but lost in what has become a signature failure mode in the Wojo era. So we talk through the week that was and figure out given the small sample size if changes need to be made in the line-up and/or approach. We close out the podcast with a discussion around recruiting news, specifically Dawson Garcia. Enjoy, we'll get through this together!

#MUBB got the win and the Markus record out of the way, now the work begins
Monday Nov 11, 2019
Monday Nov 11, 2019
Solid, if unrevealing, win for #MUBB in the season opener against Loyola Maryland. We talk about the game and if there is anything of consequence to take away from it. (1:30). One important thing that came out of the game is Markus Howard setting the all-time MU scoring record so we talk about the record and Markus in general (8:00). We then turn our chatter to the upcoming Gavitt game against Purdue. We talk about what we think will happen, what a MU victory has to look like, and what concerns we have about the game going in to it(15:00). Then we discuss that other game on the schedule this week with that team 90 miles west of MU central. That's right it's #BadgerHateWeek, so we get into it and try not to overlook Wisconsin(29:27). Enjoy!

4th of July off season pod to catch up on schedule and other info
Friday Jul 05, 2019
Friday Jul 05, 2019
It's the off season so it's a stress free catch up on the latest and greatest #mubb news. First, a brief interruption to highly the Jalen Johnson to Duke announcement, then we dive into the regular pod. We start by talking about the latest(at the time of recording) news that Brett Nelson is leaving MU to be the HC at Holy Cross. We discuss impact and the potential replacements. We then go deep on the non-conference schedule announcement and then pivot into the news the UConn is back. UConn in the Big East is great, convince us otherwise. We close out on some light recruiting news and an overview of MU alum in the NBA. Enjoy!

10 days off from #MUBB basketball is a very long time, even if we have a victory over the red menace from the west to keep us occupied. Fear not, dear listener, we are back and ready to tackle the rest of the non-conference season. First, we kick off the pod with a little #instatrakka where we noticed in some MU instragram stories that Greg Elliot appeared to be a full go at practice. So we begin rampant speculation of whether Greg will be back against North Dakota or Southern and what his return means for minutes. We then talk Tuesday's opponent in North Dakota before transitioning to the most important remaining game in the non-conference...Buffalo. We talk about concerns and possibilities against Buffalo and how we see the game turning out. That conversation turns into a therapy session dealing with the fact that Marquette might be the favorite in the Big East. We close out the pod with some talk about a recent story in the local paper that MU looked at creating an on-campus arena instead of going to the Fiserv Forum....spoiler alert, we both think it would have been a dumb idea. Enjoy!
