Victory Edition of Scrambled Eggs - Badgers Suck
Monday Dec 10, 2018
Monday Dec 10, 2018
Well, it is a very happy podcast this well, as your Marquette Warriors took down the rodent menace from the west in a tight game. We could talk about the UTEP game, but we won't because we want to jump right into reliving a great victory for Marquette. We discuss how MU pulled off the win, what we saw that concerned us, and debate the game Markus Howard had. We had to spend some time on the dumbest play we've seen in quite some time, Flopper Davidson's nut punch of Joey Hauser, and have a little fun at his expense.
MU now has 10 days off and is roughly where we thought/hoped they'd be so we step back and look at how we got here and what that means for the rest of the season for Marquette. Needless to say, we're forecasting some sun days ahead going into Big East season. Hope you enjoyed the very joyous #BadgerHateWeek and please enjoy the finals break.

A solid program victory and #BadgerHateWeek, it's gonna be a happy pod

It's happy pod time, as Marquette got a convincing (albeit a painful to watch) win over a quality opponent in Kansas State. We talk about the win, Marcus Howard, and just how painful that officiating was. We also spend a minute or two talking about Jamal Cain and whether his playing time is of concern. We then transition right past UTEP for the most part and on to everyone's favorite week, #BadgerHateWeek. We breakdown the ins and the outs of the game, discuss Brad Davidson's ab workout that enables him to launch himself, and what Marquette has to do to win the game. We close out with predictions and a solicitation for your best Badger rivalry jokes. Enjoy!

Not to go full Nilihist Arby's but that was a painful loss for Marquette against Georgia. It was a game they needed to win and probably should have won but didn't. We break down the game as well as ask the question "What is wrong with Andrew Rowsey and can he be fixed?". We also spend a little time talking about what we liked from the game but spend most of the time talking about where this leaves the season and how concerned we are. We then looking to the future looking for hope and excitement that is #BadgerHateWeek and a game against Vermont. First up is the Vermont game where we try and figure out why Vermont has a decently ranked KenPom defense but still manages to not be good at a lot of defensive components. It's a must win for MU though and we discuss why. Then we roll into Saturday's big game against hated rival, Wisconsin. We spend a little time reviling in the fact that their basketball program isn't in great shape right now either and how we think the game will go on Saturday. Finally, we spend some time talking about Wojo's tenure at Marquette and whether the fire Wojo crowd will be satisfied this season and what concerns Wojo should have (hint: they won't and none). It's been a tough couple of games, but folks it's #BadgerHateWeek if you can't get excited for that, I don't know what the point is. Enjoy!

Buckle up kids, we've got a long Scrambled Eggs pre-season pod for you
Monday Oct 23, 2017
Monday Oct 23, 2017
It is still the preseason but the last couple of weeks have been action packed for #mubb so we ended up having a mega-Scrambled Eggs pod. First line of discussion, what we've actually seen from the team thanks to two events: Hurricane Relief fundraiser/exhibition against UW-Milwaukee and an open practice for season ticket holders. We talk about key take-aways from this team so far, are we more or less worried than when we had no observable facts, and who among the new comers will be key to this season. We then transition to early talk of the 2018 season, in the form of an on-campus visit for 2018 PG target Quentin Grimes. We talk about what to expect from the visit and afterwards, what Grimes committment or non-committment means to the team, and how to treat the whole thing with dignity (unlike fans/alumni of a certain university 80 miles west of Marquette). We then turn to the full schedule and do a game by game prediction with light analysis of how we see the season going (spoiler alert, Phil is way too optimistic as always and Joe is probably right). Go for a long run or take a road trip, because there is some material to dig through, but after this podcast you should be ready to go and excited for #mubb to start. Enjoy!

The team delivered important wins, now we can focus on #BadgerHateWeek
Thursday Dec 08, 2016
Thursday Dec 08, 2016
The most hateful time of year is here and we're excited to talk about it. However, first we have to talk about the two wins Marquette got this week, on the road against Georgia and at home against a frisky Fresno State. We talk about the team's performance in both games, especially the freshman, Sam Hauser and Markus Howard. After spending time breaking down critical performances and concerns over Haanif Cheatham's slump, we jump into
#BadgerHateWeek
The discussion covers the ins and outs of Saturday's game against our hated rival, including keys to the games, player match ups, and predictions. We have a lot of fun hating on the red menace, we hope you enjoy it with us. Ring Out Ahoya!

Finish up those cupcakes, it's Badger Hate Week
Sunday Dec 06, 2015
Sunday Dec 06, 2015
It's one of our favorite times of year at the Scrambled Eggs podcast, Badger Hate Week. Before we hit that though, we need to spend a little time talking about the cupcakes Marquette has played and what those performances mean. We also took several questions from MUScoop.com regarding the season so far and answer them. We spend a lot of time talking about player minute philosophy and if the team is getting better. Once we get all of that out of the way, we immerse ourselves into Badger Hate Week. We talk about all the reasons this game is important including why Phil is starting the hashtag #noredforowen. We then talk about the game and what might happen including fanboy predictions. So enjoy the podcast and reveal in Badger Hate Week.

Summer Scrambled Questions
Tuesday Jul 07, 2015
Tuesday Jul 07, 2015
Hopefully this podcast finds everyone successfully recovering from their Fourth of July festivities and enjoying a solid off-season. It's been a while since we podded so we went crowd sourcing for your questions that we could spend some time answering. Before we got to the questions though, we had to take care of some Marquette news and notes. First, former Marquette basketball players are getting PAID, maybe even enough to fund a wing of the new arena. Speaking of, we talk a little news on the arena and try to calm everyone's angst over the deal. Then lastly we talked about Sam Hauser committing, which was clearly caused by us podding. So now we get to the Scrambled Questions, of which there were a lot so thanks to the fans. We cover a little bit of everything, line-ups, should we just jump off a bridge now, Henry Ellenson - Savior or mere hero, and what does the strategy look like for both ends of the floor. Enjoy the pod, have a great summer and get ready for the season only ~90 days to the start of the season.

The season has been a grind to say the least, but the first in the Wojo era is now over and we need to talk about. We spend a little time talking about the Big East tournament, but not too much because there wasn't a lot new there. We then talk relatively surprising news, the transfer of Steve Taylor Jr to parts unknown. Since the season is over we have to talk about how this news impacts next year's team and vent a little disappointment. Speaking of disappointment, we talk about the Big East performance in March Madness. We try to put it in perspective for Marquette short and long term and why we should all be Musketeer fans. Lastly, we close out with a few odds and ends like Marquette in Italy this summer. Cleanse yourself of the season and give a listen while we are hopefully celebrating a Badger loss.

Nobody likes to lose, especially to a rival as filthy and despicable as the rodents from the west. However, that's what happened Saturday with a scrappy Marquette team taking on the #2 team in the country hanging in until late in the game. On this podcast we discuss the game, what we liked and didn't like and if anything can be taken away from a positive perspective. One of the definite positives is that Luke Fischer is now eligible and we will see this team with someone taller than 6'7" in 9 days when they play Arizona State. We discuss the anticipated impact Fischer will on the team both positively and negatively. We also discuss the implications of his availability to the rest of the players on the team, who will get more or less minutes and who's performance will improve. We then transition to the next game on the schedule, Arizona State at home after a week and a half off. What kind of performance can we anticipate from the team. We've got a lot of time between now and the next Marquette game, go ahead and listen a couple of times, if you don't enjoy it...we'll give you your money back.

A week can change a lot of things, including the level of Badger Hate

Tuesday Dec 02, 2014
Well, the tone of this podcast has certainly changed in the last number of hours we're too lazy to calculate, lets just call it a week. Legitimately concerned about a 1-2 finish in the Orlando Classic, the previous podcast was filled with doom and gloom. However after seeing, ya know, the team actually play the games, we are decidedly more upbeat. We discuss the results of the Orlando Classic and how impressed we were by the coaching staff making changes to the plan based on previous results. That's a slight change from the previous regime. We then discuss the players themselves and who's impressed and what has made the biggest impact on the performance in Orlando. Lastly, we turn to the big angry elephant in the room, the showdown with Bucky in the Bradley Center. We kick off #badgerhateweek with our general overview of how the game is going to go, and then what has to happen in an ideal world for Marquette to get the win. Lastly, we go on a mini-rant, because we are filled with hate, about some evil maniacs twitter idea, #sconniepact. Sit back, listen, and let us fill you with BadgerHate
