Wednesday Sep 25, 2019
Official practice not based on a European trip has started for your Marquette basketball team so we need to pod. After a brief intro we talk about some of the news and notes coming from John Fanta as he spent the first day of practice with Wojo and the team (2:06). That leads into a discussion on the Brian Hamilton (The Athletic) article on the State of the Program for #mubb that came out a couple of weeks ago(22:06). We then focus on the commitment news of Osasere Ighodaro and analysis what that means for the 4 remain scholarships in the 2020 class(27:36) We then turn to other recruiting news to take about the general landscape and what Wojo is looking for (32:00) and then close out the pod with a high level overview of the Big East schedule now that it's been released (41:00). The season is neigh and as always, enjoy!

It's an offseason pod, but basketball is definitely in the air

Tuesday Sep 11, 2018
The audio quality might not be the best because of some technical glitches but we think the pod turned out pretty good away. We got together to catch up on the latest offseason news and highlights, starting with recruiting news. We discuss the Derrik Akanno commitment and our feelings about Nico Mannion picking from MU and Arizona as his final two. We then transition to a review of the new home from #MUBB basketball, the Fiserv Forum and what kind of advantage it will provide in the years to come. We close out the pod with a quick tour of notable non-conference games now that it has been fully announced, including the showdown with probable Number 1 team in the country, Kansas. As always, enjoy!

It's fall so we're starting to shake off our summer vacation and more importantly, there is #MUBB news to report and comment on. First we lightly touch on the momentary freakout around Haanif's sling thanks to Instagram. Moving on from that silliness we get to the heart of the podcast, Marquette's newly released schedule. While we don't go game by game we do review the schedule overall and what it might mean for the team this season. We discuss what the non-conference schedule does for a young front court, how we owe apologizes to Mike Broeker after having seen Georgetown's non-con, and what the conference schedule looks like in terms of potential post season. We also send a lot of time talking about the intensifying recruitment of Quentin Grimes by #MUBB, mostly around what his recruitment means for Marquette's roster in 2018, coaching staff as recruiters and level setting expectations for actually landing Mr. Grimes. Enjoy the pod, we're only 4 weeks away from Marquette Madness.

Pre-Season, Post Madness
Sunday Oct 11, 2015
Sunday Oct 11, 2015
The 2015-2016 Marquette season is nearly upon us. Marquette Madness was October 9th so we'll talk about that(but neither of us attended, shhh, I won't tell if you don't). We break down what Madness is and what if anything we got from reports about the event. The season is 4 weeks away and the full schedule is out, so knowing what we know about the team (not much) and the opponents Marquette will play (even less) we take an pseudo-educated guess at the results. Spoiler alert: one of us is over-optimistic and the other is just crazy. We then talk expectations, what we are excited for, and what our biggest fear is going into this season. The podcast closes out on the fun that was had with the Marquette football sign Joe took to the opening weekend of College Gameday which set twitter/facebook/social media/interstellar communications ablaze for half a minute. Enjoy the run up to the season, Marquette basketball is almost back in our lives!

Embrace the Madness (and tall gentlemen from Rice Lake)
Sunday Oct 12, 2014
Sunday Oct 12, 2014
We start out with the obvious, welcoming MU's newest recruit(and most important in the last 20 years), Henry Ellenson. We try to temper expectations but can't help ourselves. We then transition to some interesting observations from Jon Rothstein who was at practice on the 8th. We discuss what his observations mean and if they make sense. Lastly, we turn to Marquette Madness and discuss whether it tells us almost nothing or absolutely nothing.
